About the final project for: Introduction to Minimalist Graphic Design

Introduction to Minimalism - Black and White Design

“We have now come to the end of this Domestika course. Thank you for accompanying me on this creative journey. I hope that you have gained valuable insight into the world of graphic design and minimalism and that you can use the techniques taught here with confidence and your own approach. Now it's time to work on your project, or finish and present it. I would like to remind you once again to take photos of the different stages of work to show the whole process. As a reminder, here are the main steps to follow to create a minimalist poster, summarized as briefly as possible for you. The statement Choose a statement that you want to implement as a poster. To do this, you can first choose a topic that you find interesting or that you feel emotionally connected to. The design elements Cut out the basic shapes square, triangle and circle in different sizes from cardboard, preferably many of them, because you will use them to create letters.

The letters Start combining basic shapes into the letters you need to write your statement on the poster. Create variations and try to define rules for yourself how further letters can be derived from an existing letter.
The design of the poster Glue the letter elements together so you can slide them freely on the poster. Test different compositions and if you want to change the size of your letters, you can always go back to the cardboard and cut out new shapes. If you have a sketchbook, it's a good idea to make sketches of the compositions to capture variations or alternatives and try new ones.
The Poster When you are sure how and where you want to position which letters, there is only one last step left: Glue everything onto the poster. Then you can think about how you want to present it and show it to the world.
Once you're done, upload your finished project to the forum. Simply click on "Create your project". I'm curious about your design! What I want to inspire you to do in this course is that you not only generate output, but that you give yourself the space and time to pay conscious attention to your work. what do you see in front of you How does it feel? And how can you manipulate it to create the effect you want to achieve? As a result, minimalism has become my design and life philosophy, but you will go your own personal, creative path. Don't forget that you can use the forum not only to present your projects, but also to ask questions, share ideas, connect with other course participants and find more inspiration. Of course, I will stop by as often as possible and be at your side with advice and feedback. Thank you and see you soon! ”

“final project We have now come to the end of our course and I want to take the time going through the steps and the process again. How we worked minimalist, how we searched for our statement and in the end designed a poster. At the beginning I told about myself and the projects I do. I also told why design is not just a job for me, but can also be a philosophy especially in terms of minimalism. When you start downsizing in its possibilities to find new fields of activity.
