Jaime Serra has over 25 years' professional experience in the journalism industry working with infographics. He started his career in the mid '80s, when infographics were first being used as a journalistic tool. A decade later, he contributed to revolutionizing the infographics industry while working for the Argentinian newspaper Clarín. Twenty years later, he was recognized by the Society For News Design as the most influential infographics artist in the world during the period of 1992-2002.
He has been a creator, director, and consultant for prestigious media companies and their infographic departments in Latin America and Europe, including Clarín (Argentina, 1995-2001) and La Vanguardia (Spain, 2008-2018).
He also showcases his work in contemporary art spaces and publications for international media outlets, such as El Mundo (Spain), O Globo (Brazil), La Nación (Argentina) and El Financiero (Mexico).
