“ Hand Lettering Exercises In this lesson, I'll show you how to do hand lettering exercises. This includes serif, block, script, and doing some shadows as well. Here, I've got a sketchbook, a ruler, and a Uni-ball Fine Line pen. You can use a pencil if you like. I'll start with the serif. Serif is the hardest style to do. It's a traditional lettering form. If you go to an old museum or look into any newspapers, they mainly use serifs. This goes back to the Roman times or even longer. If you ever see any statues, you'll always see serif engraved in them as well. This is a hard style to learn...”
