Michael Tilley is a London-based artist specialized in bespoke blackboard and mural art. While studying at the University for the Creative Arts in Epsom, he discovered his passion for hand-lettering and illustration. Inspired by old film posters, vinyl albums, and other vintage artwork, he combined his skills with his interests and started creating blackboard designs.
Michael’s clients list includes Soho House, Glastonbury, Warner Music, Hilton, Virgin, and Everyman Cinemas, among others. His work can be found in books like Art Class: Hand Lettering, V&A A Maker’s Guide: Calligraphy & Lettering, and Soho House: Morning Noon Night, as well as in a Walker’s TV advertisement.
