“ Stitching: Legs and Waist Band Now, I'll show you how to make a buttonhole on the tab, on the waistband. It needs to be placed halfway, in the middle, at the centre. Let's just make sure that we've got it in the right position. That's 2 cm, which will start here. Now check with your button to make sure you're happy with the placement. We want slightly over 0.5 cm, so 0.7, as a starting point. The buttonhole will start just on the edge, like so and go across in that direction. After graduating, Monisola started her own namesake brand which she ran for 10 years, distributing her ranges across the world. She has designed stage outfits for musicians including David Bowie and U2 and her work has been featured in leading UK publications such as The Face, i-D, Fashion Weekly, and The Observer. Monisola also worked as a draper for Alexander McQueen. Now she helps others create clothing through 1:1 tuition, pattern-cutting kits, and sewing patterns.
