“ Exploring Material Techniques In the last lesson, I showed you my inspiration and how to go about making your own mood board. In this lesson, we'll go over a few basic techniques to help you get some extra grittiness and texture into your final project. The first thing I want to show you is an overlay with colored pencil. We'll take one colored pencil, do a block of color, and then go over it with another color. You want to make sure each color complements the other and it will give a nice vibrational effect.
