“In this lesson, we're going to start contouring and filling our design. I always start by making the smaller shapes first, then I do the outline, then the filling and I go to the bigger shapes. I'll start with this star, which is in red color. Now that I've done contour, I'll start doing the filling. I'll do it the same way we did in the exercise, then in straight lines upwards. If there are any loose threads, just pull and there won't be a problem and it won't affect the final result.
