About the final project for: Introduction to Photo Animation

Introduction to Photo Animation

“I would really like to thank you for coming here! Now that we've seen some processes, I'll let you get your hands dirty and let your imagination run wild. Let the world see through your eyes! To help organize your project, I've compiled a list of essential steps: • Choose the photograph you want to animate. I suggest not to be from a stock photo, but something new (some photo of your own or of a photographer you have contact). • Analyze the photo and enumerate which scenes will be revealed by the camera and the movements you will give to the person portrayed. • Separate the photo into different layers highlighting each element that will need to be animated. Take this moment to come up with new ideas as you explore the image. • Prepare and import the image into After Effects, start the work of bringing that image to life. Don't get hung up on merely technical issues, seek your own way of working and reaching the expected result. • Lastly, add some details to the animation that add its special touch. Render the animation. This is a time when you may notice some details that have gone unnoticed during editing. Relax if this happens, it's completely normal. Go back, fix and render again. Now just put your work in the showcase for everyone to see!

Gather your main images and share your project with the particularities of your process. To publish it, just click the "Create your project" button. Your publication will be part of your portfolio here at Domestika and will be a space for you to showcase your work in the community. Sharing experiences with other people can be very enriching. So use the forum space a lot to share ideas. Take the opportunity to network and meet new ideas! See you on the forum!”
