About the video: Before You Write
Overview
“Whether it's a career-defining speech or the toast at your best friend's wedding, speech writing can seem daunting. But really, the core techniques are the same. With every speech, you want to do at least two things: connect with your audience and have your speech resonate with them long after you’ve dropped the mic. This lesson teaches you how to use research as the foundation for that before you write one word of your speech! Before we start, I want you to think about a topic you want to speak about.”
In this video lesson Adebola Rayo addresses the topic: Before You Write, which is part of the Domestika online course: Speech Writing: Find the Storyteller in You. Learn how to write and deliver speeches that resonate with listeners by exploring fundamental storytelling principles to address your audience .
