“ About Me Hello, my name's Phil Sharp. I'm a portrait photographer based in North London. In this lesson, I'm going to tell you a bit about my background. I was born in South West London, but I grew up a bit more in Milton Keynes and Northampton, which is just outside London. When I was younger, I always wanted to get into filmmaking, but at a certain point, a friend of mine was doing a photography course and I figured I'd learn a bit about cameras and lenses. Motivated by his fascination with the human experience, he turned to headshot photography, using his editorial skills to capture interesting shots that tell stories about his subjects.
Phil has won multiple awards, including the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and the Portrait of Britain award. He has worked with clients including Evening Standard magazine, BBC iPlayer, and The British Journal of Photography.
