Anything can spark an idea for a design: the sun coming out from behind a cloud, a leaf with an interesting shape, a nice view, a bird in flight. It's really helpful to keep a sketchbook so you can take note of the ideas as they come to you and it can be quite loose and messy, just a way of getting the ideas down. After moving to Dorset to start a family, Flora began creating from her own studio and selling her work online.
Flora’s art is inspired by the natural world. She combines stained-glass commissions with working as a freelancer for studios across the UK. In 2016, Flora collaborated with artist and illustrator Vicki Turner and their work was showcased on many design blogs including Design Milk. Flora’s art has also been featured in magazines including The Financial Times, Elle Decoration, In Her Studio, Psychologies, and Homes & Antiques.
