First you will know the work of Maya Hanisch, who will tell you about her experience as an illustrator, painter and author of books. In addition, it will show you some of the references that usually inspire you when making your compositions and will show you the work of your favorite artists.

Then he will talk about the materials you will use to create your illustrations and he will give you some very useful tips to work with acrylic.

Paying close attention to the concepts of symmetry and proportion, you will make your first sketch. Once you achieve the composition you wanted, you will apply the first layer of color.

After a second layer of paint you will begin to apply the lights, shadows and volumes that will give true character to your folk illustration.

Maya Hanisch trained as a graphic designer and as an artist, which has allowed her to unleash her style, influenced by folk culture and botanical motifs. Since 2008 he has published several books in publishers in Spain, Italy, France, the United States, England and Latin America and his texts have been translated into several languages. She has also been awarded several prizes such as the Purple Island Award at the Nami Island International Picture Book illustrations Concours in South Korea for her book Color Animal , which was also chosen among the 20 best books for children and young people of 2015, by Fundación La Fuente and was selected to represent Chile at the BIB Biennale in Bratislava.

He also teaches and workshops in various universities and world book fairs and his paintings and collages have been exhibited both in Chile, his homeland, and abroad.
