Intimate Photography: Capture Emotive Portraits

Matilde Viegas is a portrait and documentary photographer from Portugal. She was always creative from a young age but went on to study biochemistry and theoretical chemistry before attending art school where she was introduced to photography. After her mother bought her a manual camera of her own, she committed herself to learning the craft and eventually started posting her work online.

Since then, Matilde has collaborated with clients like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Monocle, Konfekt, The Guardian, and more. Her work is mostly editorial with a focus on individuals and she is passionate about portraying the world in an optimistic way that encourages others to dream of a better future.
