About the final project for: Introduction to Voice Recording Techniques

Introduction to Voice Recording Techniques

“Thanks for joining this course! It’s been an incredible adventure. Hopefully, you have enjoyed this journey through the amazing world of sound! I also hope you have found some bits of inspiration for your work. I have shared my work and process with you, but now it’s your turn. Take a deep breath and start recording! For the project of this course, you will create a thirty-second to a one-minute piece of your choice: ADR, voice-over, singing, a motion poem, etc. Remember, the challenge is to make it with decent quality sound. To begin, choose the kind of project you want to make. Next, create a script or lyrics, also select or create a video or image montage for your project. If this is to be a rap or singing video, you can do that after you have recorded the voice. Some projects are interesting when you create the visuals after the voice is recorded. Once you have made those decisions, it’s time to select, borrow, or rent a suitable microphone for your project. If you can’t do this, use your phone! The results may be pretty good. Then set up your recording space, hook everything up and test it. Record multiple takes. Don’t worry, you can always record again if it still isn’t working when you put it in your project. Finally, edit the voice in tour software and match it to a picture. Or, in a rap or singing video, prepare the file for playback to capture the lip sync. And last but not least, export your project! Take this course as a chance to improve and learn. It doesn’t matter if you have a mistake or two, or three or more, just keep practicing. Most of our biggest knowledge comes from our mistakes. Let your creativity take the lead! After all, it’s your path, your rules! Don’t forget to share your project! I want to see what you have created. I will be giving you feedback as soon as I can. But be patient, it can take some time. Meanwhile, I encourage you to look at what your fellows are doing. Share with them some tips and tricks. Once again, thank you for being here. Please, keep doing projects, collaborating, trying techniques, and getting better! See you soon. ”
