About the final project for: Illustrated Lettering with Manual and Digital Techniques

Illustrated Lettering with Manual and Digital Techniques

“We have reached the end of this course! I would like to thank you so much for being with me throughout this journey. I hope you enjoyed every detail of the course, which was created with great care. Before I say goodbye, I'll leave here some tips on how to successfully make and present your final project: Choose your phrase and create your own concept.

Use and abuse your creativity and create countless thumbnails experimenting with different compositions until you reach the desired path.
Remember to make a final thumbnail, a little bigger and more defined, based on the sketch you liked the most. It will guide you through the next steps.
Enlarge your thumbnail and sketch very loosely, paying attention to proportions, visual weights and hierarchies. Draw the skeleton of the letters to understand how they will work in space.
Using the layer technique, I redraw your sketch in a more defined way. Take this time to add mass and thickness to your letters.
With one more layer, refine your entire design. This is the time to pay attention to details, without losing harmony and balance with the whole.
Scan or photograph the finished sketch. Go to Procreate and import your sketch, make any necessary imaging or adjustments. Then configure your application and create your color palette.
Start your digital drawing from the contours and make the last necessary refinements and adjustments.
Fill in the areas of color working with the palette you defined.
Add light, shadow and texture. This will help your composition have more dimension and depth. Make the final adjustments and finish and your final project is ready!
Be sure to publish your final project. I look forward to seeing what you produce! I will comment on your work whenever possible. Also participate in the forum commenting on the work of your colleagues, as this way we will be able to form a united community and we will all learn together. Thank you very much and see you later! ”
