I grew up in a city an hour away from Mexico City, a small city people call the city of eternal spring. I grew up in a house surrounded by a laurel that must have been over 200 years old. The roots that jutted out from the ground were bigger than me, and I spent hours playing in that tree and discovering new worlds. Alejandra de la Cerda is cofounder of the architecture firm Polen Diseño Vivo (2010) and studio Lenpo (2016), a space dedicated to inspiring and connecting people with plants and nature though courses, workshops, design, and objects.
