Creating Textures Next, develop textures. Use the abstract nature of this process to spark new ideas. Create a folder to use in your future illustrations.

The Base Sketch Sketch the base for the final illustration. Get inspired by what you've learned so far. Digitizing the Sketch In Photoshop, combine the sketch with the textures you created. Work with the different tools—the "Lasso Tool", the "Burn Tool", the levels, and more—to create a well-balanced piece. Adjust the color, light, and shading, and enhance the details to bring your illustration to a strong finish. Sharing Your Work Once you've finalized the painting, follow my guidance in Unit 5 to export and print it. Learn the best formats to share it, and the best papers to print it. When posting online, explain your process and what your artwork represents. Give your followers a look into the story behind your work.
