It takes many writers a long time to finally work out what the structure of their story is. It involves editing, rewriting, thinking, getting up from your desk, pacing round and round, scratching your head. It will evolve over time. As we've discovered with finding ideas, planning our plot, creating a fictional world and developing our characters, there is a way through the maze.
