About the final project for: Floral Arrangement Illustration in Watercolor

Creation of a floral arrangement in watercolor

“Thank you for taking my course. Hope you enjoyed the time you spent with me and learned some interesting things. I leave you here an example of presentation of your project which lets me see your process as your final work: Color palette: Identify a color palette and floral patterns on photographic references that inspire you.

The sketch: On a sheet of cellulose paper, make a light pencil sketch to visualize your creation. Then, on a sheet of cotton paper, place small pencil marks, following the base of your sketch on the sheet of cellulose paper.
Composition: To start watercolor, make the background of your floral arrangement by placing vegetation or grass. Use watercolor very diluted in transparency. After the herbs in the background are dry, add the elements of the composition on top: the main flowers and the secondary flowers.
Your watercolor floral arrangement: Fill in the empty spaces with foliage of various shapes. Finish by adding small elements like pistils and whimsical details with gel pens.
If this was your first experience with floral watercolor, congratulations! I can't wait to discover your flower gardens! Be creative! Share your project in the forum. Don't forget to comment on the creations of others, this way we can all progress! I will give you feedback on your compositions. Please be patient if it takes a little longer. See you soon !”
