All of these elements exist in a spectrum. On one end of the spectrum, we have calmness and relaxation. On the other end, we have interest and stimulus. Neutral muted colors are calm and many different colors are stimulus. If you put all of the elements on the relaxation end, the room can feel a bit boring and flat.
