Before I go I want to share with you five key steps for the Final Project: Gather inspiration from different places, notice the themes and topics that call out to you, and which ones come up the most. Find a quote to write and think of the doodles you can draw that are related to that quote.

Make a mindmap or mood board and organize your ideas. Draft your piece with a pencil and paper. Using composition grids and boxes, a layout where you want to put your words, doodles, embellishments, and other design elements. Think of what colour combination you’d like, or if you want to keep it in black and white. Start inking your design with fine liners, brush pens, watercolour, or whatever pen you decide to use. Last, create or address your envelope and have your new artwork ready for sending, posting or selling. Now it’s your turn to create your illustrated postcards. Do the creative exercises, trace the lettering sheets, practice some doodles. Take the ideas from the course so you can create your own, unique designs that will show your own style and personality. Make sure to share your work with people through social media, or send some happy mail through the post.
