Sun Yi is the founder of Night Owls, an award-winning digital agency based in New York City. After studying engineering at Binghamton University in 2001, Sun started working as a web designer and developer. Half a decade later, Sun became the lead web designer at the New York Film Academy, and subsequently studied filmmaking at the academy, which paved the way for the future of his career in storytelling.

In 2008, Sun became the COO and Creative Director at Wevio, and just two years later, started Night Owls. Through his agency, Sun has worked with Fortune 500 Companies brands such as Seiko, American Red Cross, Columbia University, Spotify, Swell Bottle, and more. At Night Owls, their aim is to develop the visual identity of a brand through storytelling. In 2020, Sun became part of the coveted Forbes Agency Council.
