“Preparing the Area and Stencil Placement In this lesson, we’ll go ahead and prepare the area for tattooing and place the stencil. First, we disinfect the area properly with alcohol to remove any excess oil or dirt from the skin so the stencil can adhere better. Once we’ve cleaned the area we’re going to work in, we’ll draw a central line, which will help us position our tattoo so it’s completely aligned on the leg.
