“Techniques: Shading and Hatching I’ll show you some shading and hatching techniques to achieve different textures in your tattoo. To do that, we’ll use synthetic skin because it will be much easier to practice the textures on it before applying them with our clients. For this exercise, we’ll make some small squares on the skin to be able to create the textures within them. I have a skin already prepared for that on which I've tattooed the squares, because if we use any other tool, like a pencil or pen, it can run because synthetic skin is silicon and doesn’t absorb materials very well.
