“So one of the things about getting better at drawing in general. It's as much about learning to see as it is about learning to draw. And one of the things that some people find difficult is sometimes actually seeing shadow shapes. There's a number of things that you can do. help you be able to visualize them and see them a bit better. So one thing you can do is just squint your eyes a bit when you're looking at your reference image. And then what that will do is it cuts out a lot of the detail.
