About the video: High Key (Daytime) Lighting Closeups
Overview
“In this lesson, we will be shooting the closeups for the brighter version of our scene. The lighting for the closeups is easier to control since we can move light shaping equipment closer to our subject without it appearing in the frame. Therefore we’ve planned to shoot these shots at a time of day where the available light may not be the best, and we’re saving the wider shots for a point during the day when the light looks the way we want without us having to shape it.”
In this video lesson Albin Sjödin addresses the topic: High Key (Daytime) Lighting Closeups, which is part of the Domestika online course: Cinematography with Natural Light. Craft beautiful images using available light to enhance your story and awaken a sense of curiosity within the viewer.

We'll just use the light that comes from the light that our character is standing by. To be really sure we're blocking all the light we're gonna us...”
