About the final project for: Creation of Fictional Stories with Real Characters

Creation of Fictional Stories with Real Characters

“We come to the final part of this course. Thank you very much for joining me! I hope you have learned a lot and that the lessons have inspired you. The time to say goodbye is approaching, but the final point is up to you. That means you already have enough tools to write your own story. You just need to put them into practice, preparing your final project. To help you, I remind you of the different stages you have to follow to reach the end of your story. Search among the journalistic notes, or your anecdotes among friends or family, any that you like or find interesting. From there you will get your main story. Remember that the starting point, your initial anecdote, does not have to be too specific or exhaustive, only that it contains that particle of intrigue that you, as a writer, causes you to explore, and that a potential reader is interested in knowing. From that anecdote, you can extract the character and turn him into your creation. You will give it depth through a motivation and a goal.

Put that character in trouble by adding a conflict to him. This will allow you to develop your plot that includes: beginning, development and ending.
From this plot, write your story! Play with all the possibilities you have at your disposal, narrate it in different ways, with different characters. It may happen that you had an initial anecdote and, in the course of writing your story, more things occur to you until, from that first idea, there is almost nothing left. It does not matter, what matters is that, whatever the story is, real or totally fictitious, that it has the narrative elements that we have reviewed throughout the lessons, but above all, that it has that “something happens”. When something happens, when a character does something different from what he does every day, the story exists. We are all potential characters. By now, you sure know how to beat the blank sheet. And if fear comes to you, remember that to start writing you only need that: write. Lastly, don't forget to share your story with the community. It would be very interesting if we could see how you progressed and built your characters, their motivations and their conflicts. Also tell us which article or anecdote inspired you so that we can compare it with the final story. It will be a great pleasure to see what you have created and how you have prepared it. If you have any questions along the way, you can use the forum, I will be there as soon as possible. I invite you to also communicate with your classmates. They will be your first readers! You can help each other by sharing the methods and routines that writing helps them. Now I leave you so you can write. See you soon! ”

“Final project We reached the final part of the course. Thank you very much for joining me. I hope you have learned a lot and enjoyed these lessons. It is time to put everything you have learned into practice. Remember that to start writing you only need that, write. Don't discount the effectiveness of a writing routine. Find a comfortable place and a time that works for you and create your own writing habits. Remember that for every story that is published there are two, five or ten others that never saw the light. What's more, behind each published story there are hours and hours of writin...”
