Remote Design Sprints: Innovating for Success

“Congrats on having reached the end of the course! You've come a long way. You now have all the tools you need to start your own design sprint! Before diving into your final project, I would like to remind you of a couple of things that might be of help. Your first task is to create your own Miro board for a design sprint project. It should have all the whiteboards, stickies, voting dots, and roadmaps set up so that you can run a successful sprint for your clients.

Once this is done, use one of the two mock-up scenarios provided to run your own design sprint as a practice. If you want to, you can employ the help of your friends and colleagues. The goal here is for you to practice being a good facilitator, as well as understanding the process on the go.
You can assign the roles required in the project description to each one of your team members. Using the Miro board you have set up and relying on the skills you have learned in this course, it is then time to run your own sprint.
Keep in mind that is important to break down the entire sprint into days, each day consisting of its own unique exercises and boards. Try to keep everything timed and productive, because lengthy discussions and debates are counterproductive. Ideally, the spirits should be high so that the energy levels can flow. Should you see debates getting off track, know how to reel them back on track. If you see that the team is getting tired or weary, take a break.
In the end, you should be able to create your own testing scenario and test with the help of your friends or on social media. Create your own report document―it will later serve as your template when you actually work with real clients.
As you get the hang of it and get a chance to facilitate your very own design sprint, I encourage you to come back and share your input, new methods of working, and ideas in the forum. By clicking on the button "Create your project" you can upload all the materials you've gathered along the way. Help us to improve and shape the perfect process! All that's left for me to do now is to thank you for choosing this course. I hope it brings you as much joy as it did to me! Always remember why you are doing this. With the knowledge of design sprints, you are no longer just a designer, you are a problem solver. You force yourself, your team, and your clients to focus on the problem and turn it into an opportunity to improve the design, the products, and the process. See you in the forum soon!”

“Final Project Congratulations, we're at the end of this Domestika course. I hope you learned the necessary skills to carry out your own design sprint. I want you to practice being a good facilitator of your own project. It may be very hard to do it in the beginning, solo, but you must practice to know the process well to be able to lead the teams in the future. I’ve created a brief for you to practice with. If you get an opportunity to do it with an actual client, I strongly urge you to do so. Remember, growth happens at the edge of your comfort zone. Here are a few tips and tricks to help ...”
