“In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to use a sketchbook to refine your ideas and develop your skills. My sketchbook is a vital part of my work. I use it to record different ideas and to study in detail the animals that I like to embroider. I mostly use Moleskine unlined sketchbooks, but the paper is quite thin. So if you're going to do a lot of painting, you might want to try something with slightly thicker paper. I use my sketchbook to study subjects in detail. So I look at the muscle and skeletons of the animals that I'm Looking out. I will keep flicking between reference and imagin...”
