“Choosing Colours In this lesson, we'll pick a colour palette for your embroidery. One benefit of using sewing thread rather than embroidery floss is that we don't have to split the thread or wind onto bobbins, you use it straight off the spool. When I'm choosing colours, I keep a reference photo to hand, which has the kind of colours I have in mind. If it's new a colour palette, I just upend all the threads I have onto the desk and play around with some combinations until I'm happy. I have set colour palettes that I like to use, for example, for a fawn, or a rabbit, or a squirrel, and this ...”

Her early years growing up in the countryside inspired her love of nature but it was during her time at university that her artistic journey began. Whilst studying illustration, Chloe discovered a fascination with stitching that went on to shape her career and eventually developed her freehand needle painting technique which combined all three of her passions; nature, painting, and embroidery.
Chloe has embroidered several book cover designs, illustrated children’s books for publishers including Penguin and Bloomsbury, and has also published a book of her own about her work. Her embroidery has even been sold at Liberty in London.
