“Influences Now that you know me better, in this lesson, I'll talk about my influences. One of my textile influences is quite nearby, in Portugal. It’s Vanessa Barragão. She does incredible works inspired by the deep sea, recreating corals and algae using latch hook and crochet techniques. Crochet is used to give the corals and algae shape and latch hook is the technique that she uses to work on top of a mesh to create this weave of fringe.
