About the final project for: Macramé: Create Unique Clothing

Macramé: Create Unique Clothing

“Wow, now yes, we have reached the end ... I hope you have enjoyed my company these days. For me it has been super special to have sneaked into your house for a little while and to have squeezed your creativity. With all the theoretical part of the course internalized, we have got down to knots and have seen how to create a beautiful vest step by step. We have seen how a macrame garment is built on the roof. I don't want to say goodbye without first doing a little review of the development of the final project: Inspiration and concept After looking for inspiration for your project, make a sketch of the piece you are going to create.

Structure First, cut all the strings and assemble the frame of your piece.
Development of the piece Then get down to business with the shoulder realization. With this step, the structure is more consolidated and the front part is perfectly distinguished from the rear. Keep creating knots to go down to the armhole creating beautiful shapes and drawings. Remember that in this part of the course I taught you to create increases by adding rope with the festoon knot. Next, start creating the back pattern up to the same height that you created in the front. Then you will have to join them on the sides and continue creating this wonderful one-piece garment. Now that you have the shape of your piece well visible and you perfectly appreciate how you are creating a macrame garment, you just need to continue creating knotted drawings until you reach the desired length. For any questions, I recommend you review the video lessons in Unit 4, where we follow the step by step of this process.
Finishes and customization Finally, finish off the seams, just like you do with the two needles or crochet, to give the vest a perfect touch. Also add elements to your piece to customize it and make it unique.
Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your garment and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. So I can give you feedback. I have designed this garment to be able to wear it on the street with great pride, to get rid of the idea that macramé is only to wear on paradisiacal beaches, that we can also wear these fabrics on the busiest and most cosmopolitan streets of a city. But I invite you not to limit yourself only to reproduce this design, create longer, shorter pieces, with more or less fringes, different colors and fibers ... Squeeze your creativity and show yourself what you are capable of. Create for you, for your daughter, friend or cousin, I will always be by your side to help you and go hand in hand in this beautiful world to enjoy it together with you. If at first this type of drawings made with macramé seems very complex, do not push yourself so much and go creating simpler frames. Remember that macramé is a very grateful technique, where small mistakes are very well concealed and it is ideal for people less "crafty", so get rid of your fear and let's go for it! It only remains for me to remind you that you will always find me in the forum, although, as you well know, I am a mother of two and running a family along with everything that it takes to have an online store and brand of artisan products takes me a long time, so I ask you a little patience if I don't answer you as fast as I would like. In the forum you will find many people with your same hobbies and together we can create a wonderful group where we can disconnect and create a beautiful community. I will also love to see your creations on Instagram by mentioning my Instagram account @fruto_samore or with the hashtag #NavajoVestDomestika And now yes, I say goodbye with a see you later, because this is only the beginning of this new adventure and journey through the knots. Macramakers non stop! ”

Then I told you about the benefits of knot therapy. I showed you some materials that are commonly used in macramé, and I showed how to make several types of knots. We looked at some weaves that we can create with this technique. I told you about my inspiration process, and we sketched out our piece. I showed you the technique I use to take measurements, and then we created our vest’s main structure. We started with the sh...”
