About the final project for: 3D Illustration with Paper, Cardboard, and Wood

3D Illustration with Paper, Cardboard, and Wood

“You have reached the end of the course. I hope you enjoyed this adventure as much as I did. Now it's time to carry out your own project. For the final project of this course you will develop a scene with a couple of main characters in a natural environment using the technique that I showed you. I recommend you find your own idea to develop your illustration. Let me show you an example of how I would like to see your process: The mood board The first thing you should do is look for references of what you are going to do, for that document yourself, also look for images that serve as a reference for the development of your project. You can search the images on the internet. Once you have all the images, create your mood board.

The sketch and the color Get to work and make the sketch for the final piece. Also choose the colors you will work with.
The elements Begin to apply the technique and build the vegetation, trees and flowers. Also, build the rest of the elements that are part of your piece. In my case, I made the birds, two clouds, an insect and a sun.
The finished piece Prepare the support that will contain the elements that you have already built and put together your illustration playing with the planes and volumes. Then mount your illustration on the support, give volume to the wooden frame, with balsa wood and make a kind of drawer that will contain your final illustration.
Remember that you can use other forms and supports to exhibit your works. The important thing is that you dare to give life to your own imagination and ideas. Keep in mind that we all have the ability to create, to do something new or something different. We can all draw and we can all do things! And each head is a world. For this reason, I invite you to create your own imaginary from things that you can find in your house. You will see that with very simple shapes such as basic geometric figures you can create fantastic worlds and ingenious ideas. If your work is not what you expected, do not give up, be patient and keep working until you achieve the result you are looking for. Don't forget to upload your project. I will give you feedback as soon as possible, but keep in mind that it may take me a while to respond. While you wait, I invite you to see the work of the rest of your colleagues. If possible, share with them tricks, opinions and learnings. Before I say goodbye, I want to thank you for choosing this course. It has been a pleasure to show you the world that I am passionate about. See you soon! ”

“Final project We have reached the end of this course, congratulations. You are now ready to start this project. But before I say goodbye I would like to remind you of important information. Collect recycled material for your creations. Pay attention to cartons, packagings or the material that works for you to illustrate with volume. I advise you to look for references. It's a great way to integrate color, texture, and shape into your projects. Remember that the sketch is a fundamental part of the process. It will be in it where you will synthesize your references and ideas. It will also be ...”
