About the final project for: Immersion in Architectural Photography

Immersion in architectural photography

“We have started from scratch. Only head and space. I introduced myself and told you a bit about my life, what I did, how I did it and what I was going to teach. The narrative bases, a bit of history, contextualize the trade in the past gave us a starting point. The planning of the work, task that I insist on you understand, which is key to the production of architectural photographs, along with a short step through the cameras that are used to do it, was the next stop. I took you to the house where we were going to work and in it we compared the first intuitions and we just proposed the way in which we were going to narrate the project. Useful tools that go with us in our pocket, and some intuition, were enough to have a solid start. Before shooting, I showed in six groups the most common families of images that happened in my trade. We go to the action and I exemplify you with three photographs that I do with two completely different cameras, one professional and another amateur, how can be the virtues of one and the shortcomings of another, how to compensate them in the computer. Once we made the trip back in the studio, I show you what I think a well-ordered photographic archive should have. We went to the operating room to see what is HDR, Stitching, Bracketing, aberrations, vignetting, APS ... A vision that I completed with the delivery of the material and its labeling. I will be satisfied if, when working in a space, you feel more secure and precise in your decisions. I know that you will not learn without practicing, but unless I have told you my very summarized experience, of these fifteen years of trade, it will give you a global vision of how it is and how it can complement your style and photographic interests. Think and shoot! Jesus Granada ”

We will see your work in the forum, but first we will do a very brief and quick review about everything we have covered in the course. I introduced myself, I told you who I am, what I do. We talk about my influences when working In my training, I recommended bibliography, books, I recommended names. We saw a brief historical introduction so that you could contextualize well what the problem is of the representation of space from painting, to the Renaissance. We met Julius Shulman, some very import...”
