“In this lesson, I'm going to explain how tattoos are applied to the body and the process of what happens when a needle punctures human skin. Firstly, I'm going to quickly explain the structure of your skin, which is composed of three main layers, the epidermis, the dermis and the hypodermis. The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin, forming a protective waterproof wrap over the body, which serves as a barrier to infection.
