I definitely recommend this class. Everything about it is so well done, and the teacher is engaging. All instructions are clear and easy to follow. I’m so inspired! I’m nearly finished with my first paper mache project and already thinking about many more I can make. So glad I took this course!

Tutor is clear in describing the process and it’s filmed well that you can see what she is doing. I’m new to paper mache and I have tried the glue and joint compound recipie for first time. I will try a whimsical person next liked Sarah described. It was helpful to get me thinking about things and setting up a Pinterest board of ideas.
sapevo che la cartapesta si realizzava con recupero di carta di giornale invece il corso prevede una costosa base da acquistare per realizzare il progetto. Non lo continuerò.

This is a great basic introduction to papier maché. The artist's articulation of her influences is really interesting. Although I am interested in a smoother surface, something I can sand and refine, and I would prefer to use PVC glue and joint compound over flour and water—I appreciated seeing how to create a basic structure to build your layers upon. I mostly draw and paint, so this course gives me a foundation to try something more sculptural and three dimensional.
