Hi Sarah: Just finished this class and it was FUN! Can't wait to get started on my project. I have a couple questions for you. What brand of acrylic paint pens did you use? I like to know what specific brands an instructor is using because when they say "any brand you like", I wind up wasting money on different brands until I find one that's ok. But there's a difference in brands, so please let me know which you use. 2nd question: Can we use styrofoam for an armature for paper mache? I didn't know if that would hold moisture or anything, but I just received something packed in styrofoam so I'd like to use it.
THANKS so much for this fun class! I'll try to find out where the forum is located so I can see other people's projects. :)
@the_sarah_hand Thanks so much, Sarah! I'm glad to know I can use styrofoam. It's so hard to recycle it around here, they only take styro twice a year. At least I can turn it into something fun. :)
I had a hard time painting it. No clue why ? I’m a over thinker. But I did do a second and went with a lighter color😀. It came out good. Forgot to give it a cut out for a little friend so I made it a necklace.

Teacher Plus@anniemmm hi annie - i'm so glad you enjoyed the course! looking forward to seeing what you create!
paint pens: i think my favorite and most reliable is Posca. they never seem to dry out from disuse and the tips don't get shredded.
styrofoam: yes, you can use it, for sure. make sure to tape the whole thing, though, so the paste and paper can stick to something.
let me know if you have any other questions!
