“Being Inspired Now we've learned all the different basic techniques we can use to paint landscapes, let's look at how to inject some magic into our paintings. In this lesson, we'll look at how to find your inspiration. How I like to do this is to collect a lot of images and we can see the threads that are common through these images, and we can figure out how these images inspire us. Once you've collected some images that you find inspirational, we'll look at how to extract useful information from these to use in your paintings. Years later, she found inspiration from the show The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, and once her artistic fire had been rekindled, Ruth was determined to explore painting once more, first with other mediums such as charcoal and watercolor before finally falling in love with gouache.
Since then, after amassing a large Instagram following of over 100K, she has established a full-time career and written the book Creative Gouache and continues to share her work and processes on social media.
