“Masking In this lesson we're going to make precise masks for each of the components in this photograph. I'll be demonstrating it using two techniques, the Brush Tool and the Pen Tool. Layer masking is a reversible way to show or hide part of a layer. It also allows adjustments to be applied to only a selected area of the image. This gives us more editing flexibilities without having to permanently delete or erase part of a layer.
