“Influences In this lesson, I’ll talk about three of the many contemporary artists who influence me and have uniquely mastered expressivity, fluidity, and liberty. The first is Nicolás López. He’s Peruvian, and his paintings are interesting because he paints monochromatic landscapes and it doesn’t look like he uses a brush. The landscapes are built and blend together in a very unique way. That has really caught my eye ever since the first time I saw his paintings. My techniques are heavily inspired by the fluidity in his paintings. He fell in love with watercolor the second he started and currently dedicates himself exclusively to activities related to this art form. He gives courses in various cities across Brazil and manages the largest watercolor group on Facebook, Aquarela Brasil."
