“Shadows and Lighting Now that our color flats are done, in this lesson we'll see shadows and lighting. The nature of my work is generally fairly flat and requires more on the linework to hold things together, but sometimes a basic drop shadow or subtle shadows can really help ground things in the space. Sometimes the lighting in an illustration can be simple and a basic drop shadow will be enough to give it some depth. But in this illustration, lighting will be a big part of the concept and shadows and lighting will be more dramatic, so we'll think about it differently and see how we approa...”
