About the final project for: Outdoor Portrait Photography for Instagram

Outdoor Portrait Photography for Instagram

“Now we are about to finish the course. I hope you had a great time learning and found the inspiration to create your own sessions and develop an attractive style for your networks. Next, I am going to remind you of the different steps to follow to develop your final project: The first thing is to decide the locations of your photoshoot and then plan the route plan. I have done my session in the Lavapiés neighborhood in Madrid but you can choose any place in the world that inspires you, even if it is in your own city. Keep in mind that the places you choose are key to stand out!

Remember to also plan the schedules and wardrobe of the person you will be photographing, taking into account the locations. Pack the suitcase with the material you need and you will be ready to go out.
Once on the street, start your session taking into account the different lessons that we have seen. Practice exposure, depth of field, model poses, and composition. Try to make original images that stand out on your Instagram profile and think about including elements of the place around you, to contextualize the subject.
After making your series of photos, import them into the editing program of your choice. I have used Lightroom but anyone can do it. Think about giving unity to your series so that there is continuity in your feed of Instagram. Create a custom preset that represents you and has personality. Try to look for something original! Once edited, transfer them to your mobile and decide the order of publication with the help of an application like Preview. Prepare the copy of each photo and the publication strategy: decide the time and notify your followers before and after publishing with original stories that attract attention and get public interaction.
Now share your final series with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember that you can also share a previous step such as your mood board of photographic exercises, the result of your Instagram feed or the stories created to advertise your publications. These parts will be super useful for everyone else and we can be inspired and learn from mistakes. If, in addition to the Domestika community, you want to share your photos with everyone, you can upload them to Instagram with the hashtags #HelenaPalauDomestika As you can see, there are many aspects to take into account when creating and publishing a series of travel photos. The important thing is to enjoy the process and find your own style that our audience also likes. If you have doubts, I will be in the forum to solve them as soon as possible. I also invite you to collaborate and interact with your colleagues, it is the best way to learn and to foster a healthy community of creators and photographers. Traveling and taking photos are my two great passions. I hope that by doing this project you have been able to enjoy my work as much as I did. See you here, a big hug. ”
