Introduction to Sumi-e Painting

Akemi Lucas is an excelent teacher and beautiful human being. Alhough I couldn't follow all lessons in the same period of time, I was very happy to hear Koshu speaking and explainning her methods. Beyond that, the enrivonment of the classes, the music and the good taste of the works enchanted me. I have a dream to go to Japan, who knows I can admire this kind of art with more knowledege. Thank you, Domestika, thank you Akemi.

The teacher in this course is phenomenal, she obviously is an expert at what she does and is a wonderful artist and teacher. I learned a lot during this course and am so glad I took it, mastering the strokes is hard work! I have tried learning Sumi-e through books and from an in person teacher who didn’t really know what they were doing, so this course really helped me.

The teacher is very relaxing. Introduces well the cultural specifics behind the art. The course is very basic, but it's an introduction so ... I can recommend a a mindfulness practice also :)
