About the final project for: Color Theory in Photography

Color Theory in Photography

“Now you have done all the hard work, it’s time to showcase what you can do with your new skills! In this final project, I’d like you to transform an image of yours with color. The aim of this is to give you an opportunity to put everything you have learned into practice, to consolidate your knowledge. You have made the effort to complete this course and I want you to take the next step by applying it to your work. The subject can be anything. Don’t wait to take that “ultimate” photo to get started. Just pick up your camera and shoot, be it indoor or outdoor. Let your creative mind flow and your emotion be the guide. Remember, color is only part of the image creation process. So feel free to incorporate other creative elements that you feel is important in what you are trying to express in your image. When you’re done, post the “before and after” image in the forum so we know how you have transformed your image. Also, don’t forget to check out the work of other students. These are all potential ideas for your next project, you never know what comes next! Just to reiterate, here are useful steps to help you create the final project: Step 1 Get inspired in Pinterest, “pin” images that resonate with you in a “pinboard”. Find at least 20, the more the better!

Step 2 Analyze your collection one by one in Adobe Color. Save the color schemes in your account’s library. This helps you gain insight into your color preference and personal style.
Step 3 It’s time to take some photos! Photograph scenery, a view, it doesn’t have to be anything incredible or breathtaking. Just get out there to shoot. Use some of the camera tips and accessories I explained to help you capture a better image for better editing and result. Remember to compose with color in mind too! Step 4 Time to edit your photo. Apply color theory to your image using the editing tools I’ve shown you to create a coherent color theme.
Step 5 Done editing? Step away for a few hours and come back to review the image. I’m fairly sure you will find something you want to re-edit. You can repeat this process until you are satisfied with the results. Then, post the “before and after” image in the forum! I will be spending a few hours a week looking at all the work you have posted. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. It may take a few days for me to reply but I promise I will get back to you. Please also feel free to connect with me on social media, I’d love to get to know you in person. Once again, thank you for joining me in this course! You should be proud of yourself because you have taken your photography to the next level! Goodbye for now and I shall see you in the forum. ”
