About the video: Creating Your Concept and Characters
Overview
“With the basics now covered, let's move on to creating manga! In this lesson, I will tell you how to generate, form, and organize an idea into a concept. You will learn to structure your ideas in a way that makes them easier to work with, therefore facilitating the inclusion of others, such as an editor, test reader, or collaborating artist. With the concept established, I will then model how to develop a cast of characters. Manga characters should be memorable, likable (even the evil ones), and understandable. Finally, I will teach you how to flesh them out and complement each other. ”
