There are many ways of adding lighting to your Cinema 4D scene. I find it most convenient and useful to use one of the Physical Sky scenes for the lighting. Go into Physical Sky by double clicking into it and go into Sun. We're going to tick the Custom Color box and change it back to white. This is the shadow.
