Botanical Sketchbooking: A Meditative Approach

Very awesome pedagogy and great to see Lapin perform, that helps a lot.

Lapin is simply the most enjoyable instructor I've had online. It might be his voice, or his face, or his manner, but I feel like I am in the presence of a "kindred soul" artistically speaking. His methods are clear, his instruction is deliberate, and, yes, his work is brilliant!

I am a beginner and enjoyed his demos--how to mix paints, how so many lines in the final composition mean one mistake is not worth worrying about, how to enjoy the slow progress (not my nature!), how to fix mistakes, how beautiful things can turn out.

Estou a gostar bastante do curso (ainda não terminei), tambem por gostar da area. Acho que explica com clareza, no entanto gostaria que tivesse abordado mais assuntos, tal como fez na mistura de cores, mostrado mais algumas técnicas e acelerar um pouco nas demonstrações (mas tambem entendo que é uma abordagem meditativa) Já fiz outro curso de Lapin, que tambem adorei. Quero mais cursos na área.

It’s quite advanced and wish this had been made clear in the description. To be honest while I love a calm approach I found the narrator quite boring too - too calm, feel unnatural.

I'm not enjoying this course as it is clearly too advanced for me: I chose the wrong course. I can't follow along and far from finding serenity in drawing and painting I'm increasingly stressed. I'll have to try something else at a more elementary level. For those who already have some skills it is probably very good.

I learnt new applications with pens and watercolors, I much enjoyed Lapin meditative approach.

I haven't finished the course yet, but I am enjoying it very much. Lapin's method and approach to botanical painting have provided invaluable insight into my artistic journey.

I'm only on the 2nd unit of this course but I love it so far. Lapin is a wonderful teacher, and brings such a lovely calm approach to his art.
