“Scanning and Retouching In this lesson I'm going to show you how to scan and retouch the image so we can reproduce it as faithfully as possible to the original artwork. I'm going to scan with 300 DPI and in RGB, which is a broader color spectrum and will give me more possibilities in terms of reproduction. As you can see, I scanned with 300 DPI. DPI stands for dots per inch. If you look at any printed material with a magnifying glass or to an advertising closely, you'll see dots of four colors, cyan, magenta, yellow and black, mixed in different proportions.
