“Folding Carousel In this unit we'll learn how to build a folding carousel. Folding carousels are a marriage of pop-up and accordion books. They're built by layering strips of paper that decrease in size proportionally. Let's open one to take a look. In this example, we can see one strip, the pink one, which serves as the background layer, a middle layer and a layer that serves as the frame. If I stretch it out a bit, we can see how the sizes proportionally decrease.
