“To make the needle to help you do the caning, we'll use an aluminum bar that you can buy at a DIY store. This bar is 1 cm wide and 50 cm long. It's about 2 mm thick. We'll need a measuring tape and pliers to cut the bar. Since aluminum is soft metal, you can easily cut it with pliers. And a power drill with a 4 mm drill bit for metal. We just make a hole on each end of our bar.”
